The Volunteer Center has five core programs that help us achieve our mission:

  1. Williamson County Volunteer Match
  2. Round Rock Municipal Volunteers
  3. Youth Opportunity to Unite
  4. Community Service Restitution
  5. Nonprofit Agency Support

Williamson County Volunteer Match

The purpose of this program, which is the core of our mission, is to connect community members with nonprofit agencies to address social needs and challenges in our area through volunteerism. The Volunteer Center refers and/or places on average 3,000 to 5,000 volunteers per year and partners with approximately 250 agencies throughout the Williamson County area.

“Volunteering…what does it mean to you? Whether you have one hour per day, five hours per month, or one hundred hours per year to share with others, we can help you find a rewarding experience through volunteering to utilize your time, talents, and resources. There are many nonprofits in the county who would greatly appreciate you assistance. Just let us know what causes you care about and we can get you connected to an opportunity that works for your schedule. Feel free to look through our website, contact us by phone, or come by the office. We look forward to partnering with you!”

Round Rock Municipal Volunteers

It takes a lot of time, energy, funding, and manpower to run a city – especially when the commitment to the quality of life is number one on the list of priorities for city municipalities. Round Rock is one of the fastest growing, safest, most family-friendly cities in the country and we didn’t get here by accident! From the 1800’s until today, caring, concerned, and motivated individuals have taken to heart what it really means to be a thriving community. Volunteers can keep the momentum going and give a hand to one of the various city departments in Round Rock.

** You may also wish to serve on a city board or commission and assist in the vital decision-making process for various community issues.

Youth Opportunity to Unite

Kids and teens can have an awesome impact on their community when given the opportunity to volunteer! Youth Opportunity to Unite (Y.O.U.) is an excellent way for youth from any background to find and unleash their skills and talents for the benefit of others. The volunteer youth program demonstrates that young people can make a difference for a lifetime.

Community Service Restitution

The youth and adult CSR program is a successful model that helps enforce mandated community service requirements, while improving lives and strengthening Williamson County communities. Various opportunities are available through local nonprofit agencies and we can help you find the right fit. You may browse our website and connect yourself with an authorized agency or you can make an appointment with us and we can work with you one-on-one for a small consultation fee. We also encourage you not to stop once you've completed your required hours. Find a cause you care about and continue to give back and volunteer on your own time in order to create a better life for yourself, your neighborhood, and your community.

Nonprofit Agency Support

In order to advocate for, strengthen, and support the nonprofit sector in Williamson County we are committed to regular and effective communication with agencies to determine needs within their organizations, advertise volunteer projects, facilitate workshops and networking opportunities, conduct criminal background checks, and provide tools and resources to effectively manage programs and volunteers. Through our website, Facebook, and e-Newsletters, The Volunteer Center is continually committed to supporting all of the local nonprofit agencies.

Through our website, nonprofit agencies can post short and long-term volunteer opportunities, special projects, and events to make it easy for community members to find ways to volunteer.

The Volunteer Center also hosts the monthly Williamson County Nonprofit Networking Meeting the first Tuesday of every month, from 11:30 - 1:00 at the Allen R. Baca Center in Rond Rock. Contact us if you are interested in attending!
